Snow Day 2015

 On December 28, 2015 we woke up to the best surprise...SNOW!

 That meant that Daddy stayed home and we all played in the snow, drank hot chocolate, enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, and built a snow family. I love the memories that we get to make in an unplanned moment.

It was a great, no make-up, snow ice cream making, laugh until your face hurts day for all of us! Thank you Lord for blanketing our earth with snow to give us a day of fun for all of us. These days will be forever etched in my memory.

Christmas Day 2015

Well we left the cookie for Santa and I suppose he liked them enough to leave some wonderful gifts for the girls.

Here is the tree before the craziness of Christmas morning began.

 The opening of stocking stuff while the girls wait for their own paparazzi team to get in their positions. These are two well loved and documented girls.

 If you live in Texas, it is just not Christmas morning for a girl without some Kendra Scott jewelry.

 The last gift was some roller blades for each of the girls.

The last gift was what Campbell had been asking for for about a month or more. I still do not know where it came from but she wanted a Blue Merle Toy Australian Shepherd. I managed to track one down for the right price...the only catch was it would not be ready for a new home until January so this picture had to do. The girls named him Wrigley and against my better judgement we are a two dog household. What was I thinking?

Another Christmas morning has come and gone. All the preparations and festivities are over...now we just rest and enjoy time together with our new gadgets. I love this season and am so thankful we are able to celebrate the joy of it with so many that we love.

Christmas with My side of the Family 2015

 Well before we turned around good it was time for the festivities for another Christmas to begin...

 We always enjoy Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve. The fun includes a yummy Mexican fiesta, some Starbucks while looking at Christmas lights with just the women, opening presents, and getting ready for Santa to arrive.

We had a wonderful time together with my family. I am thankful that they are always willing to travel to us, bring some of our favorite foods, and just love us well. Oliver loves it too because he gets to play with his friend Ruby. We are already looking forward to next year.

Our Family Christmas 2015

 We made our way to the State School for the Christmas light extravaganza and of course a little time on Santa's lap.

 I am glad that both girls still humor me and take part in this yearly activity.

 Next we got our Starbucks and rode around looking at the Christmas lights around town which is always a treat with the Christmas music playing in the car.

 Then it was home for the opening of our presents to each other. The older the girls have gotten the more thought they put into what they get each other. I just love to see what they come up with and how much fun they have opening them.

 We had such a fun night together and are looking forward to the rest of the family coming soon to enjoy the season with us.

Our Yearly Christmas Traditions...

 Both girls picked out their yearly ornament to paint. Campbell went with a Christmas Tree while Kaylee went with a bell that is also a Christmas Tree. I just love that one day they will have these to decorate their trees. I am so thankful for Mine by Design opening many years ago so that these memories could be possible.

 We also got our Gingerbread House kits...it is amazing how much more detailed they have gotten with the passing years.

 We also made our Christmas sugar cookies...it was such a big job we had to cut them out and bake them one night. Then we frosted them another day.

Of course, we had to get our nails done for the holiday season too.

These are the things that bring me joy during the holidays because the girls look forward to them and it gives us many laughs and wonderful memories.
