Closing the books on Warriors Basketball Season

Well we made it to the last game for the Warriors and Campbell learned a lot this season from her fabulous coaches. It was bitter sweet to see this season come to a close but with volleyball happening at the same time it will be nice to drop one practice time a week. At least that frees up a little time one night for us to actually have some rest. In the video above you will see a great block from Campbell. She is getting taller and stronger every day.

Our precious team and two amazing coaches, Mrs. Ruff and Mrs. Hughes.
The boys taking a trip in the car to pick Campbell up from school. Look how much Wrigley is growing already?

Aces Volleyball

Well we have started a new to us sport with Campbell...she decided to try her hand at volleyball and loves it! We have not done a travel team like this before so it was a definite adjustment. However, behind all these precious girls in the picture there are some equally amazing families. It has been a joy to travel with them each month to tournaments. We are one of the youngest teams each time but the girls have kept a smile on their face and not given up no matter what score is on the scoreboard.I cannot wait to see how much they grow and what next season will look like after some experience.

We love these ACES!

Daddy/Daughter Event 2016

Our church is filled with some wonderful people, one of those people is Mendy. Several times a year Mendy organizes events either for Daddy/Daughter, Father/Son, Mother/Daughter, or Mother/Son. It is her ministry to make sure that families have these intentional times with each other while also reflecting on our Lord. I cannot even begin to tell you how much these activities have meant to us over the years. My girls are so excited every time and are looking forward to the next event before this one even starts. We love you Mendy and your heart for families. This
This event was a Daddy/Daughter princess theme because they are daughters of the King. each dad was given an invitation to invite their daughter(s) to the festivities. We started off by making sure that the girls got their nails ready. We had gone a week or so prior to the event so they could pick out new outfits to wear for their special evening.
I had to snap a picture of their cute Valentine shirts that I found for them this year too.
I always enjoy helping with this event so I am there with the team of friends decorating and preparing food for the evening. This year Mendy lined up real Disney Princesses for the younger girls to talk to and sing with. I thought it was just precious to see all their faces light up with such wonder.
There was also a sweet little lady who came and gave a dance lesson to all the dads and daughters so that they could share a proper dance together. This was probably my favorite part of the evening. I felt such joy watching my girls with my precious husband. The love they share is visible in these pictures and i am so thankful that they are growing up with such a wonderful role model. They have a very good idea of how much the Lord loves and values them because of their Dad.

I think they were all having a very good time.
The rest of the evening was filled with some crafts where the dad wrote a note to the daughter , some eating, a little picture taking, and just joy.
Thank you Mendy and Southern Hills for making evenings like this a priority.

Our Routine and more Remodel

Our afternoon routine is beginning to be a little slower since I have one child done with basketball. Campbell still has a few Saturday games left but not many.
Kaylee is enjoying not having practice after school each day by resting.
Wrigley managed to survive his first ever bath.

Campbell has continued to perfect her free throw...
and Papa and Nana have continued to make the trip to enjoy their favorite girls playing the sports they love.

Then there is the remodel which is still coming along as planned. You can see the design here of what the final layout of the bathroom will be when all is said and done.

No more holes in the floor with exposed pipes and I am thankful to say there have not been any surprise creatures roaming about either.
This is my soon to be closet which I think I will let Cary use. (just kidding, kinda)
the area for the bathtub and shower
I am getting more excited every day. I cannot wait to be soaking in the tub I picked out. A true dream come true.

Happy 42nd Birthday to me!

I was lucky enough to have my birthday fall on a game day for Kaylee and my parents also came from Waco to celebrate both of us.
I cannot imagine celebrating in a better way than with my family, presents, cake, and a Wylie win!
Yes my friends, this is what 42 looks like!
