Exploding laughter

Thanks to some of our best friends having extra tickets we got to go see Bob Smiley and Tim Hawkins perform a comedy act tonight.
Saying they are both hilarious would be an understatement...I do not even have words to describe how hard I laughed. If you want a sample just look them up on YouTube. Do not look them up while anyone is sleeping or you have food/drink in your mouth because you will be laughing loudly.
By the time they finished my eyes were watering and my abs hurt from all the laughter. The thing I loved the most is that they are Christian comedians so the whole family can enjoy these two. Thank you to Tim Hawkins and Bob Smiley for a wonderful evening. We cannot wait to go again and we will have our children with us next time. If they come to your area please go get tickets, you will be so glad that you did.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

These pictures show why I love winter so much!
It brings with it quiet moments making s'mores by the fire
Who can resist a little snow ice cream which tastes so much like the homemade kind but way easier.
Buried children in the snow giggling instead of arguing
 Snow angels...

Daddy coming home from work early for a family snowball fight.

We even let Oliver get in on the fun, he is great at hide and seek in the snow.
A blanket of snow covering the yard just makes me smile because I know a day off of school, routine, and business is about to take place. Thank you Lord for winter...we love it so here in Texas.

Daddy/Daughter Sock Hop

My precious friend Mendy puts together wonderful events during the year for our church families to take part in with their children. In February she put together a Father/Daughter Sock Hop and it was adorable. I had the pleasure of being able to help put some of the magic together before the guests arrived. The menu in Dad's Diner consisted of sodas, floats, hotdogs, hamburgers and french fries.
There was this cute backdrop for pictures.
 The entrance to Dad's Diner...
There were all kinds of games and activities like bowling, roller skating, dancing 50's style, hoola-hoops and many more.
All the kids had so much fun with their Dads and I had so much fun watching the looks on their faces as they took in all the experiences. I treasure the memories from all these events and the hearts and prayer that is poured into each one. Thank you Mendy!

Valentine's Date to Maroon 5

My sweet husband took me to see Maroon 5 for my Valentine's Day present. He must really love me because we have been to three Maroon 5 concerts in the past 2 years.
We had so much fun...well at least I did for sure.
Who could not have fun with Adam in the room?
I also got to hug my sweet friend Sarah's neck before the show started. We miss her so much in Abilene.
Thanks to my wonderful husband for making every day special and putting up with some of my obsessions. Love you!

Family Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's with the girls was spent at the ACU theatre production of The Marvelous Wonderettes and it was fabulous!
We had so much fun laughing and just taking in the show.

Here are the girls' Valentine treats! They also enjoyed heart-shaped cinnamon rolls for breakfast, paper hearts with all the things we love about them on their bedroom doors, and yogurt after the musical. We had such a fun day together. I love the ages they are at now.

Kaylee and Campbell even made a cake together with hearts on it of course.

Ice, Ice baby...

Campbell decided that she liked basketball enough to try it again this year. We decided she would learn more playing AYBA this season and Dr. Steadman was going to coach with Cary so it was a no brainer. Campbell ended up being on a team with several of her friends which made for a fun season. Early in the season Coach Steadman said, "We may not win any games but they will learn and of course be the cutest ones out there." Well he was right! By the end of the season ICE finally clicked with the sport and ended on a high note.

 Our little guard

In the end Campbell learned more about the game, had fun with her friends, and loved having her Dad help coach. Therefore, it was a winning season in our book no matter what the scoreboard said.

Hunting Season

My Hunters...Kaylee persevered this season and finally shot her first buck. I do not know who was more excited Kaylee or Cary.
My proud girl with her 6-point buck!

Happy New Year!

Ringing in the New Year!
These faces...these are a few of the friends I have the pleasure of doing life with on a daily basis. We laugh together, cry together, pray together, raise children together, support each other, and above all else have fun together. My cup runneth over and I am truly blessed.

Christmas Day

Santa Came...

After Kaylee and Campbell woke up and we got everyone assembled in their seats it was time for the opening of presents to begin. I was able to hold them off a little bit by letting them look in their stockings and enjoy a few treats.
 A little Christmas morning photo...
Both girls with their first present...I hope Santa got them the things they were hoping for the most.

Kaylee with her Texas rangers Oakley sunglasses, yes there evidently is such a thing for all of those wondering like me.
Campbell with her American Girl doll. I love that she is still little enough to enjoy this stage of life for one more year. Let her stay little for just a while longer, please.
We have never done matching pajamas for the family before but I thought it would be fun and so did the girls. Not sure cary was thrilled but her was a good sport and went along with it.
Nana, Papa, Kaylee & Campbell

Uncle Don, Aunt Trudy, Duncan, Ruby, Kaylee & Campbell
Our family
We had such a wonderful time together just eating and enjoying each other's company. Of course, the women went to our yearly tradition of taking in a movie, Annie it was this year. We are blessed to have family that will drive and take the time to make these traditions with us. It just would not be the same without all of these precious faces. Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve finally arrived and with it came my parents, Uncle, Aunt, cousin, and their sweet dog Ruby. It also brought lost of delicious food to the house that just says family to me. Of course, the girls could not wait to open presents and get the festivities started.
Kaylee with her came purse from Nana and Papa.
Campbell with her dog and leash from Uncle Don and Aunt Trudy.
A little guitar fun for her American Girl dolls.
Kaylee with her favorite yearly gift of Texas Rangers tickets.

Our whole family is greatly blessed to have each other and be able to celebrate the season together, not to mention all the spoiling the girls get in the process. Our day was filled with food, fun, and lots of joy. The night ended with our yearly tour of Christmas lights with just the women of the family. There was a lot of laughing involved that too. Thank you Lord for blessed days like these and the memories that are made. I guess we were so busy making memories that I did not take any pictures of any one else except our girls. Merry Christmas Eve to all!
